RYPOS Achieves Full Compliance from CA Air Resources Board

Franklin, M.A., February 1, 2024 – Rypos Inc., a world leader in the design and manufacture of active diesel particulate filters (ADPFs), proudly announces that its Rypos HDPF/C has successfully passed the in-use compliance emissions testing verification requirements set by the California Air Resources Board (CARB).

This significant achievement demonstrates Rypos’ commitment to environmental responsibility and adherence to the highest regulatory standards. The in-use compliance test is performed on a sample of fielded units selected by CARB to ensure that the filters continue to contribute to reducing harmful emissions, promoting cleaner air, and aligning with CARB’s diesel emission control strategy.

The CARB staff, after a thorough review of Rypos in-use emissions testing compliance report, has determined the RYPOS HDPF/C, designated under family name CA/RYP/2007/PM3+/N00/ST/DPF01 with CARB Executive Order DE-07-001-08, meets the stringent standards outlined in Title 13 California Code of Regulations, section 2709.

Ajay Mangat, chief of the freight technology advancement branch at CARB’s Transportation and Toxics Division, expressed appreciation for the company’s participation in CARB’s diesel emission control strategy verification program.

Paul Anderson, Rypos CEO, emphasized the significance of in-use verification for customers. “Our in-use verification confirms to our customers that their Rypos filter will remain compliant to the end of life of their engine.  It also demonstrates the high quality, reliable performance of our products for the long term while eliminating any risk of replacement due to noncompliance for our customers.”

Rypos is proud to be at the forefront of environmental innovation, providing reliable and effective solutions to address the challenges of diesel emissions.
